That's an unusually late patch.

Well, It was aimed at the lack of "on forum" posted `18 road map... `cause this is the MWO forum, I think... or..?

~ & patch notes are always minutes before release ... got used to that years ago... on par.

Maybe the `18 road-map ran off with the third pillar to la-la land...

Hey Mr. Internet Explorer, Clan MG and Clan LMG are already pre-emptively nerfed in the December 12th patch.

We already know from Twitter that there are balance adjustments coming in this patch. I would expect them to be weapon adjustments and most likely aimed at Clan Laser Vomit.

Phil mentioned on a NGNG stream the night before last that he and Daeron are working with Russ to schedule another Production Update podcast in the near future.

I would not hold my breath for Clan laser vomit to get tuned without there being undesired collateral to other builds, Clan or IS.

I feel like this is another red pill / blue pill moment.

You can take the red pill and you will be made aware of what PGI has in store of the coming months, some of which might be so bad that it'll have your jaw drop.

Or

You can take the blue pill and go back to enjoying (try to enjoy) the current state of the game worry free about what is to come, since knowing ahead of time might spoil what good about the game is left.

So here's Russ offering you a choice: Which do you pick, Mr. Anderson?

I'm sorry, Detective Spooner, you're not asking the right questions...

The real question is whether or not you care about the game balance. If you do, then changes always worry you no matter whether or not they've been made concrete. If you don't, then it's all la dee da.

With all the balance changes over the years, i've come to accept that they still don't have a clue and will just deal with it when they roll out. If there's changes that are on the extreme side then yes i'm going to be vocal about it. Other than what else could they possibly do to kill off population after skill tree/engine desync?

Dangerous, yet correct. Only time will tell what the answer is and what the damage will be from it.

I HATE balance as it's been done here for MWO. In most cases, it;s not lore. But yeah I understand they had to do something. So instead of the balance they have been doing, just give for example, Clans superior Lasers and IS superior Ballistics.

Mechcon MWO announcements:
  • MWO gets(all ready announced) new map Solaris City Maybe March
  • Solaris 7 with Duncan Fisher (~SOON™)
Throw in a few mech packs and there's your road map

Solaris, bolt-on geometry, supply caches rework - it is all part of current roadmap, "looking ahead" section. It would be logical to assume we'll get new roadmap after completion of every part of old one.

P.S. I really want to see new roadmap.
