The skill tree menu scrolled vertically not horizontally, it would not only fit the theme of it being a tree system, it just feels more natural in general to scroll up and down.
The bonuses from the skill tree were visibly distinct from the quirks of a mech once a tree path is saved (this gets confusing as heck with many quirk mechs), and also going further the separate skill tree bonuses were colored differently for quickly checking specific stats.
And if you could click to autofill tree section when clicking on nodes way down a specific tree, similar to the reverse of breaking a branch removing all the subsequent nodes below, even if it just had a few auto assumed paths that we could then modify. Big timesaver for the guys with lots of trees and just easier in general for respeccing etc.
