just an odd thing I noticed the other day.

We dropped into a match on Crimson Strait. Just as the match started a player on my team and I collided bringing us both down to 99%. Moments later that player killed themselves (I think they ejected but I'm not sure)
No other player had done any damage to them.
I see the notification flash on my screen that I got credit for a "Most damage done".

That strikes me as a bit odd that I and get that reward even if the damage is done to a team mate.

Probably shouldn't get a reward credit, but you did do the most damage to him it sounds like.

Buggy coding, cause that should not happen. Next time record it and send to PGI.

The scoring system got really wonky after the semi recent patch that "fixed" matchscore calculations for being too low. It seems in faction play game the "kill participation" (kills plus assists) has risen to over 40 on average for members of winning teams that farm to 48. Before a kill participation of 40 was hard to reach and required damage scores around 3k and a fairly passive team that wouldnt kill things before you get a hit in.

Ive seen myself get assists on fresh drop enemy mechs simply for pressing r. I was in my dropzone respawning while my team farmed the enemy dropzone. Fresh enemy landed and i was credited an assist for pressing r on the lock given by my team mates.

It would not surprise me if we were also getting kmds for unlucky team mates or even assist for blow out thier back a little.

You can't eject in QP, though. So unless he had no armor and all his components full of gauss rifles and ammo for other weapons and you somehow crit him just by bumping into him and set off an ammo explosion, it shouldn't be possible at all.

That first scratch on a new mech can be so devastating to some pilotsPosted Image

I'd be curious if it was a light, it's pretty frustrating to get most of your leg armor shaved off before you even get away from the drop zone.

Also could be someone that desynced or dc'd while moving - last I knew that still caused people to walk forward even if that was directly out of bounds.

Out of bounds, purposefully overheating, there's more than one way to skin a cat in MWO.

there is a spot on Rubleite that if you collide with a column, you get stuck and if you collide with that mech, you get rewarded damage as if you killed him and he can't get out of the "loop" of going up and down. If one mech collides with another in that area, the damaged mech tends to blow up and you get the damage. I have a video of it and I sent that in to PGI. How do I copy the video to this site (it/s on the navidia files?) I can't seem to paste it in? If you're interested in seeing where this occurs?

Let me know/. I check the forums once a day but I'm not playing MWO at the moment....

Upload to youtube. That's how I get videos I'm submitting to pgi to review for evidence to them.
