ISLPLs are superior dmg to IS PPCs. You'd be slow but annoying as hell.

Imp C This upgrade of the Imp is built exclusively for Wolf's Dragoons using only Clan technology. The 'Mech is armed with two ER PPCs and an LRM-20 launcher with an Artemis IV Fire Control System for long range combat. For close ranges, the 'Mech carries five Medium Pulse Lasers. The Imp C is also armored with nineteen tons of armor. BV (1.0) = 2,680^[12], BV (2.0) = 3,070^[10]

IS LPL has the same damage as IS PPC. Both 10. Which is why IS LPL is not popular anymore after the nerf.

You think the PPC is the better choice? With more heat, wonky hit-reg, less dps, and that awful dead zone under 90m?

I'm saying IS LPL is not top tier anymore, and people replaced them with LL and ERLL. As for PPC, it can be superior than IS LPL, on quirked mechs. And there are a lot of mechs with PPC quirks.

I wish the Huginn was a decent 35 ton IS mech. Since the thread is about ravens - if someone has a build for that hero that they have consistent success with, I'm all ears.

Yeah...I'm still puzzled about that 1-damage point nerf. It's like they forgot the laser weighs seven tons. Lets not forget that its extended range was also reduced in a previous pass.

IS LPL max range is still 2x. I blame the balance underling on the damage nerf. Guess Clanners complained to him too much about the 5xLPL Battlemaster-2C. A mech that is now almost not seen since the LPL nerf.

Been enjoying MRM 20 and 4 LMGs. It can also do MRM 30 decently. The range on thw MRMs on mine is almost out to 700m with short cool down times.

Yeah, I switched to 2xLL 2xERML on my Raven 2x. What I wish they'd do is offer better missile/structure quirks for the 3L so it could compete as an SRM brawler, and not be forced to play either a sniper or NARCer. The 2xSRM4 3xSPL 3L was always my favorite brawler, but it just can't compete these days. Not like it was great before, but it wasn't completely outclassed like it is today. They've forced that mech in to a scouting/spotting role that doesn't exist.
