What made you think Battletech was abandoned? They were churning out Q&As until the holidays, were at MechCon, and the beta is still kicking.

Actually the Beta has closed whilest HBS cleans up the game, though there are plenty of folks who've saved the Beta files to continue playing Multiplayer.

But yeah, in Hare Brained Schemes we trust.

HBS has a good track record with actually getting their kickstarter games made. Just youtube battletech beta and you'll find plenty of videos showcasing how far they've come. They won't likely drop it given how much they've already invested.

HBS has not abandoned BattleTech, far from it! They are currently in their crunch period to try an get the game launched in early 2018. Common theory (guesses) on the BattleTech forum is that we think the game will launch in March or April. Until HBS confirms a date though, it is all speculation.

Now, the Beta had just ended on January 8th of this year, so may be that is where the confusion is coming from? It was just an end to the Beta period however, nothing else. Again, they are in crunch.

Also, the Livestream Dev Q&As are starting back up on February 14th at 12pm Pacific time (3pm Eastern Time).
