I think that PGI should look at the community and see what players are good enough that their mech configurations could become a hero mech.
I know King Harkinian last season racked up an stounding 3300 kills. I am pretty sure he did it with his Nova.
I for one would like to see his Mech Made into a hero mech. Maybe at the end of each season a vote happens and the community choses a light/medium/heavy/assault hero. That persons mech is made into a hero mech that those in the community can purchase.
I mean we do have hero’s here that when they get into a match with you their mere presence adds a boost to the team that has them and takes away from the other team. Bear_Claw is another example of someone I know is commonly called out and while he drives different mechs, I think his favorite is the EBJ. I would like to see his build made into a hero.
