Now the question is, HAS PGI FIXED THE "HEAT DISSIPATION" QUIRK SO THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKS?

Yes, it's the other one that's broken

Yes, it's a glass canon.

It's supposed to be.

Put 12 MGs and 3 lasers on a Locust.

Hell, let me put 12 MGs and 3 lasers on a Jenner and you'll revive it from the dead.

This thing is going to get nerfed for sure.

I've finally got a handle on it...now i'm just eating people....and its not even mastered with all its Strikes, range, ammo cap, tweak.

Ive had some decent matches and some not so stellar ones in my metal hungry fishys. But yeah, reserve judgment on what it needs after a few weeks. Some minor armor quirks on every component could help, or double that in structure. If not make every piranha with mainly ballistic hardpoints have mg specific quirks. Maybe even bonus ammor or more realistically mg range, mg dmg, mg crit dmg/ chance, mg rate of fire etc.

Then again not give it so much help that the Locust wipes in the corner about that it once got defensive quirks better than the piranhas. let the Locust have some quirks to balance it out over the piranhas. Since the little lolcust cant have as many weapons.

Thusfar my experience with le feesh is really good (facing them, dont actually own one) since they are the defenition of cannon fodder provided i have some lasers. They are a absolute nightmare when trying to use anything that isnt hitscan since they are small, hard to hit, and make your FPS tank like mad when they open fire at just about anything. That said, hit one with just about anything that does 30+ alfa strike and its gonna loose a leg or a ST guaranteed (and a good half of the time its a 1 shot kill).

Anyways, i think ill stick to my crows for the time being, zippy, more then capable of evading and engaging the feeshes, and i have 47 alfa strike with a shortish burn duration (1LPL+5ERML), literally free kills to that loadout unless im jumped by more then 1 or they catch me after ive been seriously wounded. That and its perhaps the easiest thing to kill as a streaktato, just lock the thing (no ecm), and alfa strike all 30+ tubes. if it doesnt die instantly then its gonna be left with at most 1 leg and die on the followup.

Still, once the really ba dpilots shelve them, i think its gonna be in a good spot, incredible firepower on something that falls apart when looked at wrong, but generally limited to short ranges and only really good vs open components. If the pilot is patient and waits for the late game, it can literally turn around a win, if they rush out and engage fresh targets, expect to be 2 shotted by any mech build thats even worth bringing into a game (lasers ofc, its possible to evade ballistics).

They're dumbing down the game play.

The biggest issue with the Parana? New/Bad light pilots, combined with all the anti-light builds.

I didn't buy one, so this perspective is only from shooting them, but I do think they need a little bit of leg armor. But that's it. For the insane dps they can bring they really do need to be made of glass.

Mark my words, its going to be nerfed.
Its only day 2...and already they are putting up 800 1200 with 4-8 kills.
My best so far as been 4 kills 600 dmg though.
I forget to use my strikes.

The staring thing gets some taking used to, but I'm figuring out

The mech just came out so of course people are going to be gunning for it, this kind of thing happens all the time when we get new shinnies to play with. Give it a week or two and then properly review it.

Maybe a small structure bonus to legs and arms would be ok, but no buffs are really needed.

What it really needs is the cockpit redone as others have said. The portal view along with any mounted item blocking the view is pretty bad.

I'm not so sure. While you can easily have 600+ dmg matches, being so fragile and having this bad cockpit you will also have matches where you get one-shotted / airstriked too early to be effective enough.

Happened multiple times to me, B33F and almost every other one i've watched. So i don't think it's consistent enough to be OP. When i compare it to my Hellbringer i do less average and peak damage as well as matchscore. So currently my Hellbringer performs better.

I think the Piranha has a similar problem than LRMs have: On lower tiers they will be bonkers, feared and seemingly OP while on higher tiers both can be countered quite easily. In that regard, on higher tiers both are high-risk,high-reward thingies with some insane but also many bad/mediocre matches. So i'd would wait with the nerf-hammer for now.

I can imagine that things look better when matches normalize and less light-hunters are around, however i don't think i can achieve the same consistent performance in it as with some other mechs.

The pirahna is fine as is. the fragility makes the overwhelming havoc they can wreak balanced. The mech thrives on openings and mistakes made by the enemy team.

Actually, I should say the 1 and Cipher are fine. The energy based variants could use a small heatgen buff, because they simply cannot put the damage out well enough before being popped.
Yes, popped. They are easier to hit than a locust with less durability. Seriously, the community just needs to practice leading shots a little better, or hold laser burns better, and they die super quickly. I've been one shot a few times by some excellent shots in mine.

I have all the lights in game except the Osiris. I love them and i play them as best as i can. I really love them.

The Piranha, right now, is OP as hell. It's only drawback is to be a glass cannon, but really it is OP.

And for his vulnerability its nothing compare to the first time i drive my lolcust, after they released the Phoenix pack some years ago. You know, those days when they were no quirks. If people watch your LCT-1V(P) you were instanly dead. You were happy with 200 damages on a match with dat mech.

The Piranha ? It's more durable than the old locust and putting 500 damages by being carefull is really not that difficult. It has a very good agility even without the skill tree in mobility. Come on, guys... It will be nerf, i predict !

My Oxide, LCT-PB and 1V, Huggin, Ember, TDK, Mist Lynx, Cheetah, Fury are so ******* sad right now.
