Hi,

I wonder if anyone can suggest a gaming headset that doesn't crush your glasses against your head and make your eyes bulge after a few hours use. I have a Venom wired unit at the moment and it really pressurises the ears and makes the ears overheat. The flappy bits ache after just 1/2 hr.

Thanks in advance.

Transit.

I use Razer Kraken Chroma and I wear glasses. The headphone doesn't press my glasses against my head to the point of discomfort so that is good. I can game for hours without feeling anything. The sound is crisp, and noise cancellation is excellent. Microphone is retractable. Only gripe I have against it is that it doesn't have volume control built into it.

I have a fairly big head so headsets are tough for me. the absolute best set i ever bought was my latest. The Hyper cloud II. They have metal to hold the ear pieces instead of cheap plastic, and the ear pads and the band are padded and super comfortable. They also have a detachable mic that you can pop on and off, and from what others tell me the sound comes through clear.

I can wear them for hours with no issue what so ever. Seeing how they don't squeeze your head and the ear pieces are not overly large they might work well with your glasses. I've owned tons of headsets over the years, and these are comparable to 300-400 dollar bose or other high end audio phones i've tried as far as comfort goes. Sound is really nice too.

I use these headsets. I wear horn rimmed glasses and it doesn't bother me. Also it looks cool.

Good answers that dealt with the glasses problem. Many thanks.

PS anyone recommend wireless? or maybe I can find wireless versions of the recommended options.

The G933 Logitech is wireless and wired out of the box you get both, no need to choose

Sennheiser GSP 300 are the best headphone/mic I have ever owned. Super comfortable and they sound great.

I've got a slightly older Turtle Beach Earforce One for my PC, as I've got glasses too, I needed to find a head set that didn't hurt to use, the Turtle beach unit I got has these nice, soft ear muffs that go over, and don't press the arms on my glasses into my head. The soft leather and foam actually compress nicely to allow the arms to press into them. My only complaint about the headset is that it is heavy, so unless you are used to wearing a lot of weight on your head, you might find it uncomfortable after an hour or two.

Looks like Turtle Beach doesn't make it anymore, but their equivalent headset would be this one:

Do you have good headphones already? If so, just get a desktop mic.

Headsets usually = cheap mic + cheap headphones at an inflated price.

I'm with Kubernetes. I've found gaming headsets to have inflated prices and they break within a year of regular use. So I just use a microphone and I have some headphones with a warranty. Sure enough the headphones break within 2 years. But the microphone keeps on working. :3

The SADES A55 is pretty light and sits loosely around the ears. Pretty good headset so far.

I bought the Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset last September and love it.

https://www.amazon.c...+Gaming+Headset

https://www.amazon.c...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's one of the higher rated gaming headsets, and the bendy bar on top really relieves a lot of pressure on the head from the band. Sound quality is fantastic, and people have said my mic sounds really clear.

The mic can be removed, as can the USB connector to the PC, so you can plug the headphones only into your phone or whatever and take with you to listen to music at work/school.

I wear glasses too and haven't had any issues with it.

I've realized that USB - is even cheaper.

I'm not surprised, a lot has to go into making something wireless. One of the items my company makes, we tack on another $500 for a wireless option, just because we have to build and uniquely encrypt each transmitter

Get a quality pair of cans and don’t abuse them. Mine are over 15 years old:

(Btw, the Sony F1s are highly recommended if you can find a pair in good condition—quite possibly the most comfortable headphones ever made)
