Was doing tests for a couple hours today to come up with a decent build.

XL170, 4 DHS, 1 L-AMS, 3 AMS, 2 ERML, with 3 and a half tons of ammo.

Obviously very lacking in the firepower department, but the main goal is to stay near the assaults and give them that sweet AMS umbrella. Add in an air/artillery strike or 2 and your damage figures stay at tolerable levels. Posted Image

Your maingoal is to stay with the light pack.
A group of 3 light with full ams and a 4 ams pir sports 7 ams. If you stay together on the move only srms shot below 100m (and only very few) get through. At 100m nothing exists longer than a few seconds against 4 pir's.
Remember you can toggle ams on and off to preserve ammo.
Do not mix lams and ams, there is a bug that will not allow you to toggle all your ams off.
In such a group atm's do pose no threat whatsoever.
The key, again, is teamwork.

This in particular is important.
