And still these threads keep popping up. I just don't get it.
Still, on the upside, if certain people are just as "good" with designing and steering their Mechs ingame as they are with reading comprehension while spending money, at the very least we'll have a good number of easy targets to pick off...

Launch day...
Person1: OMG! THIS SUCKS! I TOOK 3 DAYS OFF!
Person2: FFS! THE LOAD QUE IS INSANE!
Person3: THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!
So, instead of putting the full weight of everybody behind it you let a few in at a time. Never know, maybe next week they let in everyone early at once just because its going so well. And just for full information, its CLOSED BETA and in less then two weeks its OPEN BETA!!! as the game isn't even fully gold yet so PGI do not need everyone except for their descretion.
August 7 will still be closed beta

I think that's this too.. but a friend of mine in the beta told me that there are 800\1000 players online at the time.. i know that probably they don't already have up and running a server capable of hold up and running 50000 players, but come on.. 800\1000 sounds low.
Not everybody who wants or can play will be able to 24/7/365. There is something called 'real life' that gets in the way. You know, working to earn money so they can do those strange things like paying the mortgage/rent, bills, eating etc.

Then why be on the beta? the point of closed betas is to play alot and report bugs and issues with the current game state, not be worried about a wipe...

Pretty simple, don't you think?

Then those guys are in the wrong place. I know PGI has a ton of spare time on their hands, oh wait... [sarcasm]I know PGI has a ton of spare time on their hands[/sarcasm] but I wish they would yank people who do that, being in a beta is voluntary on both sides. If you are not helping, PGI should yank your account access till it's publicly available.

Final wipe is at the start of the open beta and we don't know when that's going to start. So, there might as well be a wipe after 07.08.

Just a thought
Well yes, but that's not because of any sense of entitlement among players, as your comment unsubtlely insinuates. Using the phrase "just a thought" doesn't make you clever or insightful.
When people are paying money, in advance, for a free-to-play game they do expect to participate in the beta, especially when the beta is not really a beta. A true beta test is supposed to involve ironing out the bugs in a finished game with all, or nearly all, of the the features already in place. When being a beta tester was a "rare luxury" the games were nearly complete, the beta testers were just helping to put the icing on the cake.
But in a lot of games these days (including this one) being a beta tester involves new features, and new bugs, being added to the game on a pretty frequent schedule. I'm not complaining, I'm happy to be here and like many people I've paid my money up front. But if we're going to pay money, in advance, for a free-to-play game that is still pretty early in the development process then yes, it is perfectly reasonable to expect to be part of the beta.
