The cockpit FOV is really low.

Items take up space on the window, despite 55% of the screen being unusable @ 90 degrees FOV. There are so many other places to put the items. >:v

The FOV is terrible. It reminded me of back in the old days of EverQuest when you had to stare at a spell Book for a to recharge for a couple of minutes. The little peripheral window slits are an absolute joke too. I can't believe they tested this thing. And I think the war horn is pretty terrible too. Though I don't even use it since there's no room to see when you put anything up there, so I leave every cockpit item off.

Tunnel vision anyone?

At the very least make the "eye slits" bigger so we can see more than the foot of the mech we're standing next to.

Side note; It does seem to make me look at my mini map a lot more.

Working as intended?

I dunno. I auto bought it at release, as it was one of the mechs I suggested. I made a thread about it and everything.

It's not really better on surround either. You get more usable view...zoomed in.

If there is a mech that should come factory with tunnel vision, it is the Pirahna...

Each of my side monitors is literally just a stupid eye slit. Huge waste of an eyefinity setup.

Does the warhorn sound exceptionally loud? It's like I'm watching TV on a low volume then a really loud commercial comes on.

It is for further insulting the opponent.

Agreed pretty upset with my purchase, these are pretty horrible to see out of.. no side vision at all and those horns are the worst PGI has done imo..

To play them its like a garbage version of commando.. Has to be the worst purchase i've ever made to PGI and thats saying something.. honestly a few hours playing these garbage and they will be shelved never to be used again,.. what a waste of money.

And i enjoy commandos and light mechs holy **** but these wtf..

While I find the war horn annoying that is not really what makes me feel bad, it's just a taste question after all, but the problem with the cockpit to me, yes, it makes me feel ripped off in a way I can't quite put my finger on. There are a few mechs that have bad cockpits, one of hem btw the LCT, but not a single one quite so terrible. That cockpit needs to be improved, in it's current form it isn't simply making the mech less powerful since it removes lots of situational awareness in a mech that relies like no other on it due to extreme squishiness it even makes playing it uncomfortable and even unhealthy to the player.

COCKPIT NEEDS A REDESIGN.

A lot of cockpits are terrible and need a redesign.

Instead of whining on the forums, whine at Russ directly over twitter.

Get him to fix the LCT cockpit too.

Agreed. Easily the worst cockpit in the game in terms of visibility. Pair that with how easily the mech is 1-shot by pretty much any weapon in the game and it makes for a death-trap. These will have to be buffed substantially for them to be see regularly in game after the challenge event is complete.
