Is The Belial Hero Uziel A Nod To The Mechassault Variant.

I'm sure this is a ridiculous question, but I'm arguing with someone who thinks the Hero variant of the Uziel "Belial" was not named this way to be a nod to the MechAssault Xbox game.
Can anyone prove me right and give me a written confirmation from the devs of MWO saying it is indeed a reference to the Xbox games?

The name is a nod to the MechAssault game. Oddly enough, the colors of the Blood Asp Special variant is a nod to MechAssault 2 as well.
