My name is UnofficialOperator and I like to Nascar.

I have a positive W/L and K/D ratio.

If I stop this dirty Nascar habit, would my W/L and K/D ratio improve?

Hi I'm bohxim. (since we're on the topic of introductions)
I don't like nascar, primarily due to my preference for assault mechs.
BUT, that does not mean I don't think it's an effective thing. I've been on the losing team that nascar, I've been on the winning team that nascar, I've been on the winning team against nascar (when we didn't), I've been on the losing team against nascar (when we didn't)

So I still say it's still a combination of player skills and adaptability. However my kdr would appreciate less nascar XD

As greetings go, I go by Asym....

NASCAR? Oh, that "chase bad guy" because there is strength in numbers thingy until the big robots get destroyed by the bad robots that catch up because no one talks to each other nor can read a fake map.... Or, are we talking hwy 421 and Windy Hollow kinda of NASCAR and the Johnson clan?

No, your W/L won't change because there will still be 11 other robots doing something else that makes no sense..... And, really, who cares about W/L anyway? Does it unlock any in-game rewards? Does it really get you better mechs or maps? Is it something that generates more c-Bills in and of itself? Since it doesn't, who care about W/L at all and NASCAR is a least an attempt to "bo organized as a quasi team" versus "asymmetrical combat operations in a virtual environment" and we all know what that means, eh?! (you almost need to study chaos theory.........)

Join a team made up from players who used to belong to other teams. Deal with some personality conflicts, including ones where they compare this team with their prior team denoting how bad you all are (when they are actually the bad one holding back to steal kills). Make some friends with those that really know how to play well. Watch is quickly fall apart after a few more patches because a number of your friends have “had enough” with the nerfs, detrimental changes, not fixing things that are broken, and poor implementation of good ideas.

Repeat

Repeat

Dude, you are in the 97th percentile on Jarl’s list. Take a screen shot of the PUG and check the names against that list of what matchmaker did to you. You’ll be surprised (or maybe not).

Ok, there was the "serious" thread again, and I fell for it as usual.

"Serious" question though, why would a troll ask for no trolls to answer? To reveal himself? No need - just wait for the sunlight.

It is unfortunate that front loaded firepower is so out of control that overall awareness and notions of map control are probably far less important than the desire to stay in the middle of the blue lump and just make what you can of it.

Every time I play HPG, I remember fondly when holding a line across high points was a thing. Now, for the few games that I drag myself through, I have to remind myself that would result in a 1v12 annihilation as I end up an easy victim of the low ground rotation "strat".

Yeeeeah dunno... I hate the nascar myself.

Oh and here is a sample of ten games in season 19 for you to compare from the Jarl's List. Oh pretty much as useless as the stats you posted for proving nascar is the way to go.

Circling and flanking is great, but it's the extremes like in HPG when your team keeps circling down below and they hold top and you get stomped. People on the net are great when they make blanket statements.

Remember there are two kinds of people that play this game. The try hards who run only a few different meta mechs and pop 4 consumables per game, run a lot of group play and have generally played this game forever and taken it seriously.

Then there is group B. The guys who mess around with different builds, run mostly new mechs they skill up the old fashioned way just to try out stuff, and just solo queue it every so often between playing other games.

There are good and bad players in both groups, sure, but they all can't nascar equally as well as Ricky Bobby nor do many care to.

Nascar is the simplest form of synchronised team manouvering and focusing fire. It's better than no teamplay and that's it.
