We have a third competitor! All welcome Le Chuck to the running. If you intend on competing then you have little more than a day to make your intentions known here.

I don't mind to give a shot and try my luck vs tier 3 opponents. Although I've made account somewhere year or two ago I actually started playing at December 2017 few days before 27th event. I just did not understand at which hour of the day competition would be hosted.

I am hosting this tournament from GMT-7 and times will mostly be in the evenings, never before noon.

I have also made a decision that Tier 3 and higher players will not be allowed to compete in this tournament. After the Champion's cup completes and prizes are awarded I will be hosting another tournament for all players; in anticipation of the Solaris7 release. The open tournament will run in much the same way as this one, but I will be less forgiving with the mech/location selections and prizes will be selected from the list of Hero mechs.

Well new players have ~9 hours to join in. We have a list of players enough to get started and I'm not gonna wait forever or keep adding competitors over the next month.

Competition will officially start tomorrow (as players are available to compete)

So this whole tournament is not looking like it's going to happen. None of the aforementioned competitors have responded to me about available times to compete, and only two of the three competitors have accepted my contact request in-game. :-\

I have messaged all three competitors on the forums here and they have until next Saturday (March 3) to get back to me (even if just to let me know that they're still interested), or I will be canceling this event.

Of the three competitors who entered, only one replied to me regarding availability for a match. One has not been online for a while and the other has not responded to my friend request in-game.

That being said, as there turned out to be only one competitor, rookiebob has taken the cup and will be awarded with a Champion mech of his choosing (from the list detailed in this thread).

Another event of this caliber will be running soon (and will be made available to all players who wish to compete - regardless of pilot Tier). I will be doing a lot more planning to ensure that this event runs smoothly; the first change is that competitions will only be held at a defined time on two or three consecutive Saturdays. The rewards for that event will be chosen from among the mechs in the Hero category. I will try to organize with PGI to increase the turnout of that event.
