Nightstar Under Preforming.

Serious only PGI can make something like this it's a 95 Ton mech with 345 Engine while a king crab go's even faster but can carry 5 ton more on top of that it have 6 Ballistics 2 Missiles and 2 energy while the top line Nightstar only carry 4 Missiles god knows why? shotting with anything but LRM overheat faster then being on vacation on the sun.

i sugest you make all versions of the Nightstar a little more agile so it's can do it's job and not getting raced by a direwolf.

I already holding my hart on the Fafnir preorder guess it will walk 30 KM/H!

Yeah but till be able to mount dual Hgauss with backup weapons arguably better than a ANH..

I wouldn't mind it going slow if the hitboxes weren't awful and it didn't melt under fire. If it was actually tanky I could see it being slow, but only one variant actually has armor quirks. The rest are structure quirks which are useless. And that one variant with the armor quirks is the one with all the energy hardpoints that are mostly useless because of it's severe lack of podspace. If you could remove the hands it'd free up a few more slots but you can't even do that.

So what you end up with is a huge, slow, squishy "assault" mech that doesn't bring anything to the field that something else can't bring better.

No wonder nobody plays it.

As for the NS it's got the near same profile as the mad2, try a similar build?

lol wut? its not outraced by the direwolf at all

thats quite frankly insensitive to the fact the direwolf also needs buffs

With a 310 engine the Nightstar runs at 52.9 kph. The Dire Wolf, all of them, run at 48.6 kph. I mean the Nightstar could use some love, sure, but let's not argue things that are honestly and factually wrong.

The Dire Wolf is slower than the Nighstar (Or slower than it can be, anyway).

yea well so nightstar go's a tiny bit faster but with the huge maps it's hardly noticeable.
it's not like ether of them are winning any races.

the direwolf has a 300 engine

im not saying the nightstar doesnt need buffs

but youre making the direwolf out like its better than it is, and the direwolf needs buffs too


they need to fix the scaling/hitboxes on a lot of assaults. and hand out armor/structure quirks more liberally. because its entirely counterintuitive when the huge hitboxes on assaults negates the fact they have more armor. especially with the current nerfed state of agility where a lot of assaults cant even torso twist.

wel consider the omipods the Direwolf is better and have almost identical speed while the direwolf is a mech of 100 ton.
still think both would need a agile boost it's no fun walking at those crawling speeds

nobody ever gonna fit a 345 LF engine on the nightstar it would not have enough weapon tonage for weaponry then

also wanna add would you wanna have the same amount of weaponry tonage like the Direwolf you need to use a LF engine 270 which only 46.0 KM/H 2 less then the Direwolf.

Seem decent to me; as decent as IS gauss vomit is anyways.

Direwolf has got 50 tons with max armor is 100 tons, so with the Nightstar being 95 tons they aren't going to have the same tonnage available for weaponry period with a useful engine rating in the Nightstar....If you want some thing that's going to match is with tonnage available for weapons on the IS side you need to use another 100 tonner like this http://mwo.smurfy-ne...837b42b40ef085b Magically they have the same tonnage available imagine that.

you do know the 9FC is just a regular mech right?. their are people in game like me that only use Hero's and champion versions.
on top of that the 9FC is like a flashlight saying shot on this nice laser that is called my head not very good idea.
