My issue with fast mechs, is I get to the point where I can engage, and can't stand waiting for the jabronis in their assaults mech to waddle into position, since they like to take 5 steps, stop and pick their nose, take another 5 steps, go and grab a drink of water, take another 5 steps, stop to type that they are being left behind, take another 5 steps, stop and yell at everyone because they are getting shot in the back, ad nauseum.

Its like, I'm an assault pilot primarily, and I don't understand how the **** it takes them so long to do anything.

But I digress, as long as I am patient enough for the fight to start, and the fight actually starts at all (as opposed to people just getting picked off one by one for whatever reason) I'm sure this thing will be a lot of fun.

To be totally fair, I think the Lanner is going to do well in the hands of a Cavalry type player, as they know how to get the most out of limited mechs with high speeds... it's just that the mechs that really tech this style of play are generally shunned by the player base, as the bulk of the player base never really learned how to make those mechs truly shine.

I'd take a well piloted Dragon on my team over another medium to long range poker any day.

Some people just can't wait I take it. Seriously give people that are pst sometime to actually do their work.

Countdown starts on Tuesday or Wednesday typically so being on pacific time has nothing to do with anything.

Also you'll notice the OP's location is California Central Coast. You may not be aware, but California runs on pacific time.

Thanks for your non-constructive snarky response though, it was really helpful, especially since the countdown had already been linked 6 minutes prior.

Especially one with 3UAC2s, because, ya know, that's a top tier mech.

I always liked 10's on my Dragons... the UAC/10 with a good sized engine (340+) really gets them to dance... just fire, move to a different position and fire again... if being chased twist and put some shots into them, yes Dragons can shoot behind themselves with arm lock off and view field far enough back to use the side windows....

Having location typed in doesn't actually mean you are there at the moment. While I was being snarky, I was also being constructive by saying wait till they get around to it. While they normally post stuff 7 days before they did put something out earlier a little over a week ago, and now they put something out on day 5.

Sure, but posting a thread as friendly reminder (not blowing up Russ's Twitter because Paul says that isn't the only way to get their attention) isn't really such a bad thing. I wasn't stomping my feet and complaining. I even made a (not so) clever joke...
