TL/DR: Buy a cheap mech with 40% off, get the 1 mill. C-bill event bonus, sell it.

A Wolfhound is 1.6m Cbills.
Buy one and do some 2 or 7 or 15 matches until you got 1000 damage.
During the current event, you'll earn 1m Cbills for that.
Sell the 210 Standard engine. 640k Cbills.

Now you're even.
Sell the rest of the equipment, sell the mech.
PROFIT!

Besides, you just experienced driving a mech you didn't know before with your chosen setup for some battles. Fun to me, i hope it is for you!

P.S.: Terra Therma with an all energy weapon mech on single heat sinks... SHEEESH!

I had a pair of Trebs back in the day, but I sold them to make room for Highlanders. No, not IICs, regualr, vanilla IS-Highlanders. They were new at the time.

I picked up a Treb 5J the other day and played a Treb for the first time since open beta, it was a lot better than I remembered them being (that and I suck less than I did back then).

IIRC the last time people used a similar exploit PGI removed massive amounts of CBills from the accounts of people that used said exploits.

Yep. I think it was s-----n on youtube who did this with another mech and event. Pgi reset his account to zero c-bills. They might have taken xp of some type but I'm not sure. i'd sure be mad if my c-bills were zeroed out after years of playing but since i don't try and exploit the system it's not some thing I have to worry about.

Just run a c-bill boosted mech as much as possible over a long period of time. That's how I got my space bucks. hell a combo meal at a restraunt is $10-$15 so might as well get a hero light or medium.

The difference here is the 'profit' is gained by running the mech in matches and completing the 1M C-Bill event portion, which is totally legit. The OP is not saying to buy several of the mechs and sell them all for a profit because of a pricing error. This is just for those who, for whatever reason, need events to be C-Bill positive for them to even consider participating.

For maximum profit.. play event with trial mech in a group, then after you get the 2 million cbills, take a full IS trial dropdeck, sign for Liao or other high-payout contract, and play FP.. IS stomps Clans most of the time, and you will rack up 1 million cbills on a good winning match, while spending 0 cbills..

It's slower for clans, but they have +50% cbill factions, so it helps..
