Since there are weapons that only weigh 0.25 tons, why can't we have more accurate accounting of the endo steel bonuses? When a 75 ton mech equips endo steel, it should receive a 3.75 ton bonus instead of only 3.5. That missing 0.25 tons equals a micro laser or light MG, and with the increased effectiveness of MGs, every little quarter ton helps. We keep track of loadout weight to the tenth of a ton- mostly for armor accounting purposes, so we should give the entire endo steel bonus as well.
It's especially important for the light mechs. The 25 and 35 tonners need every last ounce of weight they can get. That extra 0.25 tons of endo steel bonus would make a big difference to them since they have so little to work with.
