I think a little coordination and the right builds on the right maps with the right strategies will improve a lot of players FP experiences. I intend to share what I know and have learned with anyone willing to listen.

I will surely take you up to it this weekend or sooner if I see you popping online. ;)
As a drop caller I kinda miss the long range strategies I mainly go with let's give the opposition a good o'l hug of SRM's to their faces.
Or like we are not gonna kill them at all therefore let's go for the objective.

You not looking at it proportionatly. Imagine if EMP was your opponent every single night.

Take that feeling and then add the ability to empathize aaaaaaaannnnnndd then realize, thats how dem pugs feel.

And dont try and tell me you or everyone would enjoy a challenge like that, because if it was true then comp que wouldnt have been ghosttown central everytime they or eon camped the mode.

FP is a ghost town. Comp last year were begging for people to play even if you had to "make up a team"... Entire teams left MWO....

Naterist, I don't think many will understand that we play games for fun ! We had teams but, they all left because FP/CW ceased to be any fun, the skill tree and nerf's destroyed our mechs and it became a repetitive, toxic nightmare.

What's left in FP is mainly the cause of the migration out of FP so who in the heck would want to do that? Is the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome?

It's not fun !?!?! If it were, there'd been 10's of thousands of players every hour of every day. Now, mostly ghost drops....

Sir you are sadly misinformed.....MS averages about 10,000 player games a month right now and less than 5% of them are ghost drops and those are most likely at lo player pop times in the overall game.

Hardly got any ghost drops in FP.
The waiting times are ridiculous though.

No. I tested your theory before I wrote the thread. I asked the three now team members that are at least playing MWO if they have dropped in FP and they all said "ghost drops more often then not..." Could be when we play but that isn't the successful game standard of "if you want to play anytime, you can..." Never have seen a ghost drop in WoW or in 'every other game I play, studied or reported on for gameplay reviews...." The only one.

I'm glad MS is doing so well, really.... But, average players will not willingly play your team, nor, a half dozen others.... We joined teams, played thousands of hours, had training and trial nights and love team warfare but, there is no point anymore.... Roles are long gone. Gameplay digressed into nothing but reptitive stomps, noob maulings and toxic behaviors... Weapons are nerf'd to the point of stupifity; agility has been nerf'd as well in many mechs I own; and, to be honest, there are better games to play; and, MWO, even though we love the MW franchise, is just a P/T game and will remain so till PGI changes it after Solaris.... Many of just just play events now although some have completely left...

I can hope for the future because MWO is F2P and it costs me nothing to play one every so many months when PGI gives away MC..... Good hunting Xavier and if you get bored, look me up in WoW, heck bring MS there and we'll see who can hoist a broom on their mast, eh?! There is a MWO clan there as well although, I belong to a family clan since my brothers were Navy. I couldn't get them to play MWO though: no water and open spaces. Go figure.

Ghost drops more often than not? I hate the term “fake news”...but it fits. If they are dropping some odd time Oceanic, maybe there are a couple of low hours...but Xavier is correct, not many ghost drops happening in the populated tz’s. Can’t remember my last one (a couple of weeks ago...maybe) and I play multiple FW matches nearly everyday.

Btw: to get back on track...newer players to FW will thank themselves (and Xavier) if they take up his offer. Truly one of the good guys in FW and MWO and he is willing to show rookies the ropes and try to grow interest in the mode. It’s a great opportunity for many.

Get into peaktime EU or US,Asym , then tell us again how you and your buddies fare with getting games . Hint: I joined a bunch of 420 the day before and had games ... yes we waited (longest "waiting period" (from launching the group to getting a game) was close to 9 minutes), but we had games and it was about 1800 GMT+1, so quite some time away from peak EU times .

Thumbs up to Xavier from the 77th ;)
And aimed at those "I wanna try FP" people : TAKE THAT WARNING SERIOUS .

Ah for someone that claims to have so many degrees...

How do you not know the definition of testing?

Because that isn't testing. That is unproven opinion.

May your server be full Xavier, if it is then maybe more people will learn how easily they could be enjoying the mode and then fewer people like Asym will come into the thread and clog it up with unuseful, uninformed, and unrequested garbage responses.

The Templars were dropping two groups in Faction last night and had match after match... saw some pretty decent premades out there on the Clan side and had some fun battles.

Asym, I agree that queues can be ridiculous if you solo queue.... because the game plugs full 12-mans into lobbies right away. I know that pilots were thrilled that we were dropping in groups of less than 12 last night because it let some guys who solo-queued get into a match rather than sit there waiting and waiting and waiting.

See you on the battlefield!

Xann
