This has probably been mentioned before but i think that it's time to get rid of all the fixed internals. I think it would allow more build variety and make them more interesting and allow for more varied builds. I think with the all the recent changes it would not make these mechs too powerful and breathe some new life into some of the really limited mechs.

What really should be done is getting rid of the fixed slots and instead make them floating slots like with battlemechs (one of the main reasons why battlemechs are out performing omnimechs despite the price difference).
