I'd be more worried about what losing 32bit platform does to the game populations.. From what i've seen and read a great number of gamers here still use really old crap computers.. so will this remove even more of the population..

Will people really upgrade to win 10 64bit or just move on..

i was bitching 10 years ago for people to upgrade to 64 bit already. back then it was understandable, people are poor (hell i was poor but i still had one). but now? its not like they didn't have time to buy a new computer. my first 64 bit pc was built in 2003. it now resides at the bottom of my junk pile with 4 other rigs on top of it.

interesting thing about that old clawhammer, it only had 2 gigs of ram installed. this was before people started running into the 32 bit memory limit that forced many to move on. whats even more amazing is that people still havent moved on, or that they could even run this game on such a rig.

If you have to pay people to, then they don't actually respect you. Not sure what that link has to do with it. Although I did spot something annoying in it. Why $50,000 C-bills for supply caches? That's way too low. I've never had anything from a supply cache worth that little. They should pay at least $200,000 each for them.

50,000 is what they are worth if you sell them. The keys are where the actual value is.

And 'respect' was a typo. He meant Respec cost. You no long need to pay XP to turn a skill node back on under the new system. All you need to do is buy it in the first place.

....

The skill tree respec has already driven away a lot of players that weren't rich and didn't have mass GXP and Cbills...So good job waiting this many months to fix that. You realize that since they're gone now, they wont hear the news.
.....

This appears to be the part many might be missing, or at least based on their wording which could lead others to misunderstand. The respec cost PGI is removing is 400xp/gxp to repurchase a PREVIOUSLY ACTIVED/OWNED node that had been unchecked then a different node purchased and/or save button hit. But if a player unchecks 3 owned nodes and the player has no remaining SP, that player will still need to purchase each SP for 800xp/gxp + 45000 cbills if he wishes to activate 3 other nodes he had never owned.
  • Being removed - use of 400 xp/.gxp to repurchase owned nodes previously deselected
    • SP (skill points) are NOT being refunded when an active, owned node is deselected.
  • Still live - 800 xp/gxp + 45000 cbills to purchased nodes never owned. Does not matter that the player deselected 1 or 10 active nodes, SP are not being refunded for reuse.
Essentially, if a player hits the Respec Skill Tree and hits Save, it will not cost the player anything to reselect ONLY those nodes that he had owned. But if he selects a node he had never purchased it will still cost the player 800 xp/gxp + 45000 cbills to purchase.
