I have been working with this for days now. And the only problem
I'm having is with the missile Hardpoints. The Keeper comes with
2 Ballistic 1 energy and 4 missiles. At first I was using streak Srms.
Then went to regular Srms.
But it's just such a slow mech that you have to get up close and out in the open
To use your srms. Which honestly gets you killed fast. I'm using UAC 10s with
This too. I mean the Highlander IIC is a huge slow target. But I love the mech
So I was thinking that Lrms would be a better solution.
What do you think?
Don't get me wrong I have had some good matches with The streaks and regular
Srms but more bad than good. It's different if you have a higher KPH and can.get in
And get out quick. Like streaks on an Orion IIC is awesome. But The Highlander IIC
Ehhh...idk.
LRMs?

Honestly, I found the hardpoint locations on the Keeper turned me off of it so much that I have no interest in it. I prefer the IIC-C for the twin UAC10 goodness (granted, that killer right arm attracts a LOT of firepower to itself).
Instead of SRMs or Streaks you could go with ATMs. They offer good range and do respectable damage. The 120 meter dead zone is a pain, but, hey, you have 2xUAC10, that alone is nasty.

It's a funny mech because of its hardpoint variety and distribution. If you're interested in brawling, you could try locking the arms and running 2 LB20-X and 4 SRM6.
Alternately as Escef said, you could focus on ATMs so there's less impact from the hardpoint locations. The single energy hardpoint on the arm is suitable for TAG and probably not great for any single energy weapon. Adjust your ATM quantity, ammo, and supplemental ballistics to suit.

Would agree here. 3 ATM9s (5.5t ammo), 2 LBX10s (4t ammo), 4 DHS, a L-TAG and a C-AP should make for a fine build if you can close the distance right and hold it.

It runs like a fat scorch with worst hitboxes.

I asked someone I know who's got a major, and probably unhealthy, love for the Keeper what he runs. He knows what he's doing, I assure you. As has been suggested in the thread already, LB-40X, SRM24A, XL325, two Jump Jets. Brawl away.
It's not an easy chassis to use, but I assure you, if you can get your head around it, it's terrifying.

I like the Highlanders a lot, i have all of them Clan and IS.
HGN-IIC-KP

2x LB20 (6.5 tons ammo)
4x CSRM6 (3 tons ammo)
!x HML
XL 310
Its pretty good for a Highlander, you can take off the laser and jam in more ammo but i like the tiny amount of extra range it gives you.

At least it's better than the Highlander IIC B, about the crappiest LRM platform in the game.
I would try 2xLBX20 4xSRM4, XL325 and standard stucture with enough ammo and heatsinks, one or two JJs. Roughly similiar what above.
