I suggested this a couple of months ago in another forum, but thought I'd post it here as well: make General Skill Points (GSPs) directly purchasable for MC. This will give players SPs that they can use immediately on any mech they own (without having to grind out XP and C-Bills), at the cost of real money.

In essence, making GSPs purchasable for MC would give players another option for improving their mechs' performance, while not taking MWO away from the 'free to play' model (since any mech can still be improved without costing real money). I think this could be an attractive option for quite a few players, but particularly for those who'd like to 'skill up' their new mechs to a basic level (e.g., 20-30 skill nodes unlocked) before taking them onto the battlefield.

Obviously, this suggestion is mainly for the benefit of new players, rather than established players who have millions of GXP and C-Bills in hand. Apart from the convenience factor, this would give players something else that they can spend MC on, which can only be a good thing for PGI.
