Yay, another IS mech that's going to need mad armor quirks just to be viable. That automatically throws it out of the competitive category. Competitive means you stand above the crowd. Not that you need mad quirks just to get into the crowd. Sigh, I should have known better than to trust PGI to do the Fafnir right. How many times until they understand that side torso hit boxes on large mechs matter. A lot. It's the difference between viable and garbage. But don't worry, PGI will give you structure quirks so that Parana can laugh at you and blow up your HGR with half a trigger pull and take your entire shoulder anyways.

Different viewing angle. If you have some height on the MWO Fafnir and looking slightly down on it, it's the same.

Likely going to be shorter (back-to-front) than the KGC, since all its volume is going to be in those huge humanoid legs.

So what would you prefer the Fafnir, which has been announced for some time now, to look like?

With shoulders that aren't obnoxiously extended out to its sides. Maybe pull the CT just a little further forward from the original artwork, but it doesn't need to be a long, flat, wide slob like PGI's realization. You can't even twist those shoulders out of the way. You can almost hit the opposite shoulder from the side of the mech. It needs to be more compact, not more wide. The realization doesn't even look like the Fafnir artwork. They also flattened the shoulder canons from front to back and made them taller, making it more like a barn door than mech. Awesome anyone? Flat = bad in all variations. The Mauler suffers from this too. PGI will never learn.
