You are only more likely to get beta if you are a founder you dont have to... and it comes out on the 7th anyway so gut shut up and enjoy it then

Doesn't work that way. The Founders will probably close just before Open Beta. The 7th isn't Open Beta. Just Founders Closed Beta.

That's a catch 22 right there. Can't try it unless you buy it (or wait till open beta) and Founders program will probably be closed on or before Aug 7 (Beginning of closed beta 2 when all founders are allowed access).

That's not how I understand it. Prior to Aug 7th all new founders keys will be randomly given to Founders. If somehow all the founders had keys then non founders might have a chance. I don't think PGI has said anything about beta access after the 7th.

August 7th is just another closed beta period with the founders' equipment implemented so that all of the founders can test all of their stuff due to it being a guaranteed early access for them as well. Open beta is to be announced still. Devs were shooting for the end of summer / beginning of September last I heard.
