Greetings Mechwarriors!

I would like to know if there's a way to know the XP that I earnt with a particular variant that I sold in the past. Can't find it anywhere, and I don't remeber which particular variants were the ones I bought back then.
I would like to buy those variants today, and make use of the XP i grinded back then to get the SPs for the skill tree.

Thanks!

You go to skills pane and press 'View Ledger'

If you mastered a chassis, it should still have 91 HSP on it if you buy it back any of its variants,,, or at least that's what it sounded like when other people described buying back mechs they had sold before the skill tree. You can't check the skill tree on mechs in the store, so I think you probably just have to remember which ones you bought.

If you mastered/sold the mech after the skill tree patch, that XP is gone permanently.

Oh, great! I went there many times, but never scrolled all the way down, thinking it was just for the consumables and mods.
Many thanks! You really helped me out mate.

Do mind that XP from sold mechs is only kept if the mech was sold before the skill tree update, as of that moment any XP from a sold mech is lost for good.

Wow, didn't know that. That's not very user friendly.

It's a change in the philosophy of the XP system:
The thing is that prior to skill tree XP was mech type's thing, if you had 3 AS7-S they all shared the same skill pool.
With Skill Tree XP is a "robot's" thing, you can have 2 AS7-S each with its own XP and skills pool so if you sell any you "sell" the XP and the skills with it.

It's a little bit more confusing than it should since you have the heritage XP system designed to transfer old chassis wide XP to the new "robot" specific system, but you must remember it's a transitory system and not an integral part of the new system.

With the old skill tree, PGI had to track XP on a sold chassis due to requirements for Elite & Mastery skills.

No, they don't need to track anything other than what a specific chassis has, so they have no need to "waste" storage on XP info for 'mechs you sell.

One interesting feature of the accumulated XP is you could look at it and say, "wow I played that mech a lot of times and had fun." But I guess the stats page has the total number of games per variant, which does the same thing.
