I remember the scene where Emerson Winchester III is lying down on the ground when he hears this: "The Giants win the Pennant! The Giants win the pennant!" got to be one of the most memorable sketches he ever did on M.A.S.H.

He played many a role and brought them all to life. A Method actor that characters seem large than life. From Matlock to TV film like To Face Her Past. David Ogden Steirs will always be remembered for those characters, including Star Trek: TNG as a scientist who is slated to commit suicide cause his community demands of him. He will be truly missed.
