Nearing in on 8 years of no one clicking the Ready button. There needs to be a reason to click it, and C-Bills would help. Not saying to go crazy with the reward, but anything would be better than the artificially extended 3 minute wait times between matches.

No.

The game already finds enough ways to reward minimal effort.

Would you also like 10 MC just for logging in? 1 random premium consumable for launching QP? How about a mechbay per 10 matches?

You do realize the Ready button has done nothing for 4 years now...if not longer.

If you can't even be bothered to provide a better solution to the problem, why bother posting? Because heaven forbid newbies get chump change for saving 24 players the headache of sitting on their hands every time they drop.

How is it even a problem to begin with?

It is ungodly boring to lose so much time between rounds, and one of the main reasons why newbies and wing-mates end up dropping the game. There's a good reason Solaris 7 is dead as all hell, and it's not because players are afraid of 1 v 1; the waits are insane and the rewards paltry.

Either start the game the moment everyone is done loading, shorten the countdown by 60 to 100 seconds, or reward players for readying up early.

The 70 second delay is for people who are slow to connect. As soon as everybody is in the match, it jumps down to 10 seconds and then launches. There is literally no need for the Ready button.

If you can't be bothered to present an actual problem I can't give you a solution.

Problem: Ready button is useless and induces negative emphasis upon wait times.

Better take out all rewards for those doing less than 100dmg. 200 would be even better. Sadly we wont have lots of viable changes for this game.

This. Ready button does nothing.

Blame the people playing on a potato with a carrier pigeon carrying SD cards for an internet connection.

Ready button is lie. It's no longer needed, as you can't skip countdown, if somebody is still connecting and it automatically ends when all players are connected. It's better to permanently ban players, who can't load into game within that 80 (or 90? 60 in the past) countdown, cuz if even I can do it on potato computer with integrated video, then I don't even know, what computers do they play on and how much useful their presence on my team, cuz, I guess, they have insane lags and can't really hit anything.

Is 10 seconds really too much for you?

Sounds like someone never experienced the Internet before high-speed cable or fiber optics went mainstream. This Christmas, I'm thankful our screaming modems no longer reside inside our PCs, but rather sit silently on a shelf along with their buddy, the router. This Christmas, I'm thankful for not feeling the need to tweak modem init strings to get the best connection and data transfer possible. This Christmas, I'm thankful I can look up a picture of a naked girl and not have to wait 10 minutes for a low-resolution bad life decision, lol.

The ready button doesn't do anything. It is therefore not a problem.

Just remove the "ready" button all together... There is absolutely zero reason for it any more.

Any pretense of this being a team game has been nullified both through play mechanic and failure to reward team play.

Just launch the match when everyone connects. Problem fixed.

It isn't the ready button that extends the wait time, it is players not connecting. The system automagically reduces the wait time once all players have connected.

So when you are woefully incorrect, why bother posting?
