Supernova? o.0
Dude, what are you using? I don't seem to be getting this problem, unless someone is hitting me with RAC, but that's like that for every mech..

All Mechs that have a cockpit near CT or better near a point where the mech gets shot usualy.
Also if this is an issue for you...well sorry dude...you're doing it wrong.
Just use an other VIS mode or twist your torso.
Also if you stay visible long enough for a RAC mech to spin up and shoot you .... well pray you never encounter my heavy LLaser Warhawk or my MKII.
Also why do you get hit by LURMS (frankly there are no other chain missile mechs to speak of) ?

Basically just get that bloodlust going, focus on getting as many kills for the sake of killing as you can, and you'll forget you are even being shot at. Just try to keep it in check enough that you don't end up taking too much damage, because that ends the killing early.
I've been focused enough to kill an enemy Banshee I was brawling while under fire from multiple LRM boats and all remaining enemy mechs as last man alive at times. Another time I had battled a chainfiring 6 UAC2 Mauler and only knew he had shot me because a friend who was watching commented on all the explosions on my screen afterwards.
The explosions and screen shake don't actually change where your guns are aiming or anything, so you just aim for the center of mass of the big target you're facing, have it locked on and its basically just aiming in the center of a box, you don't need visuals at all other than that red box on the screen to be able to hit the target in the CT reliably.

Rac's are less of an issue because of the jam chance.. chained LRM's can just continue till you get to cover. (it's only the 5's, nothing else can be chained in this way to perma blind someone that i am aware of.
The point i am making though is some mechs have this issue, others don't and it doesn't seam quite fair. I have mechs that never get blinded with Chained LRM's, others that you go completely blind. It's not a balance thing, meaning some mechs need to be blinded and others that under perform don't.
as other players stated in this thread, which basically what i was thinking was it all has to do with cockpit location.
I did not know certain maulers can blind themselves either, it just seams like an issue that should be looked into. Even a slight reduction to the "flash" radius might be a good fix
