Hi,

just asking if the annihialtor is bugged?

I purchased the Standard Pack and all of the Annihilator Mechs had no sounds exept for footsteps and weaponsounds. No Reaktorsound, no twisting Sound, no armsound.

So i sold them and bought one from the ingamestore but there was also no Sound.

All other Mechs work fine, i used the steam integrity check and the mwo repair tool with no success at all.

Anyone else had this issue?

Requested a refund but since 2 weeks no answer from pgi. Anyone else had the lack of costumer Support?

Cheers

I'm pretty sure that you will not receive a refund if you sold the chassis.

Well refund is my 2nd concern :)

Want to know if the annihilator sound is bugged in general or just mine!

Was quite annoying playing with a 3/4 muted mech but when another mech was standing next to me, i could hear their reactorsounds, torsosounds and armmovements just fine.....infact louder then in my other mechs. lol

Arms never make sounds btw...

No twisting sounds in first person.
Does make them (very faint) in third.

Consider that the Annihilator is really tall, and the pilot is at the end of the neck on the Mecha Godzilla head. If the torso twist was loud enough to hear inside the cockpit... then if they put the pilot any closer he'd be deaf.

There's also an engine hum in third person that can't be heard in first.

This is a joke image, but basically true.

The pilot is the farthest away from the engine and waist compared to any other mech.
(Note: Most BT schematics typically place the engine in the pelvis.)

Yeah but i watched some YouTube Videos, and they had all normal sounds.

First i thought the same as you Posted Image

And when i think it was a timberwolf was standing next to me i could almost only hear his sounds.

So in all, for me its a big immersion killer - reason enough to also sell the one which i purchased with c-bills from the ingamestore after selling the ones i got with the pack. Now i have one MadCat instead of 3 Annis...lol

It could have become bugged recently, I never really thought about it before.

Conclusion:

Since im not the only one, i warn everybody:

Dont buy the annihilator pack, it is bugged, you cant refund it and dont get any answer from pgi if you send them a refund request.

$ 20 flashed down the toilet....

I don't really worry too much about engine noises when they're mostly drowned out by the sounds of weapons firing and total annihilation.

In a superficial, barely cosmetic manner that nobody but you seems to care about.
It doesn't affect the mech's performance in any way - it's still 100 tons of mechanical murderzilla in the game.

No, you specifically have taken steps that prevent you from refunding it.
If you want to refund a pack, don't sell off the mechs that came with it .

What, people are unsatisfied with their mechs because they couldn't hear the sounds they make? That's new.

Dont know about your Standards.

But in this game, for me, the Mechs are the only really important things what make me Play this game in first place. Also when i actually buy them with my hard earned Money, i expect that they are at least not bugged.

Dont know about the Standards in your countries, but here in Austria, i as a costumer have a right by law to get a fully working product for my Money. Here in Austria the law says that i should inform also the Company when something is wrong with their products. I did all and didnt get any response from pgi till now.

If you dont care about sounds (which for me is very important in all games), bugs, etc cause you play muted, then thats your problem. If you dont care that when you in the biggest mech and you hear the sounds of the smallest mechs which are moving next to you louder then your footsteps cause your too focused with the gameplay anyway thats your Problem.

I just want to know from other annihilator pilots if they also have/had this strange soundbug.

Too bad that it seems that almost nobody Plays/buyed a annihilator and clearly confirm the bug also.

And so i warn anybody, who is willing to spend $20 for the annihiltor - that the annihilator sounds are bugged and they should by another mech instead.

Dont know whats your Problem with that.......

Consumer protection laws also tend to differentiate between functional and cosmetic defects. In all functional aspects, the product is fully working - the defect is purely cosmetic. You also have no grounds for false advertising claim unless the advertising and/or the store page of the mech used the sound effects as an advertising point.

And apparently your local law does not give them a deadline to respond by: https://europa.eu/yo...ia/index_en.htm

This said, nobody sane expects a return/refund to be processed when the subject of the purchase has been made non-returnable by the user's own action - which you did by liquidating the mechs.

Here's how your claim translates
"Hello, I bought a car from your dealership. It didn't turn fast enough, so I sold it and now I want you to give me a refund."
"Hello, I bought a pet guppy from you and it wasn't red enough, so I fed it to my cat and now I want you to give me a refund."

If PGI responds to your claim and authorizes a refund, chances are they will not let you keep the C-Bills you received from selling the mechs, nor the mech(s) you bought with those.

From another perspective... you have already self-refunded in C-bills through selling the mechs.

It was confirmed, you haven't paid attention.

That you honestly expect it to be a deciding factor for anyone's purchase.
The mech is bought for its' gameplay qualities as one hundred tons of mechanical murderzilla, not for epic sound effects.

It's a bug, clearly. They happen. I've had quick responses from support in the past. Provided it was during the week before 5 PM. Are you sure you're doing it right? Using the e-mail you signed up with? I've had some weird shenanigans thanks to AOL and AIM being considered different, but being the same in practice.

I've never had to refund a mech before. So I don't know if it's true you can't get one if you sold it in game.

That is what I've heard a few times either here or on Reddit. It is also in line with their policy on MC purchases ( cf Outreach: https://www.reddit.c...n2n/mc_refunds/ )

If my mech is quieter than usual it is good right? So I can hear a pesky light approaching me rear and smack him in the face with dual HGauss. Why would I want more noise?

Because ZOMG IMMERSION or something.
Additional note, your 3rd person camera will be silent on HPG Manifold because there's no sound in space. It took me -a very long time- to realise that this wasn't a bug

Asking for a refund after you sold all Annihilators for C-Bills was not the smartest move, tbh.
What you could have done is, report that bug in in the patch feedback forum so the devs become aware of this. And until they have fixed that bug (or told you what exactly causes your problem) you could perhaps just have not touched your Annies for a while and enjoy your other mechs on your account.

wanting a refund for annies because they make less sound than you were expecting is just weird. You should want a refund because of the armor nerf.

Put in a combo of the MW3 Soundpack and Haven Kendrick's soundpack will fix that.

Also the -2A and -1A if properly rebuilt are still absolute beasts in Siege Defense, armor nerf or not.

Selling it for something that can be easily fixed, and is not detrimental to the mechs Performance ingame is a bit..........stupid imho.
