Can someone please explain the "Rule of Eight" in regard to quirks on Clan omnimechs? Does this mean I don't get a variant's quirks if I switch out any of its pods? Thanks in advance.

Some clan quircks are only in effect when a set of 8 omnipods (orginally) are fitted.

Mister Glitchdragon, when it comes to Quirks, only the "Set Of 8" ones require the full set of OmniPods. Those will be shown in either Yellow (if active) or Gray (if inactive, due to lack of the full set) colors. Pod-Specific Quirks are unaffected by the "Set Of 8" status, and will instead be shown in Green on the particular OmniPod where they exist. The ones that show in Green are always active if the OmniPod is equipped on the Mech, regardless of other equipped OmniPods. Further, all Quirks can stack on each other, but generally do not create giant totals of their own accord.

I hope this answer helps you in the design considerations that you're making on your Mechs. B)
