What? This again? Yup. Time for Lego* Mech** Contest*** Round 3****!

Quick Play
1. To enter you must post a photo of your mech created with physical Legos.
2. Your photo must include your MWO name and the current date on a piece of paper.
3. The brick combination must be of your own design. I want to see new models.
4. The mech may be any scale. It does not have to fit a minifig.
5. The mech may a canon or non-canon/original model/variant.
6. Designs that won a top prize in a previous round may not be entered. Their builders may enter other designs. Designs that received an honorable mention may be resubmitted.
7. Multiple entries are permitted. Individuals are limited to one prize.

MechLab
Unlike previous rounds, I will permit digital submissions from LDD, Stud.io, etc.. They will effectively be a separate contest with its own prize pool. All the above rules apply to digital entries, so make text out of bricks for your MWO name and current date.

Community Warfare
Like last time, the community will get to choose additional winners. Once submissions close, I will create a poll. The entry with the most votes that did not win a main prize will receive a secondary prize. This system should be more fair than relying on post likes.

Submissions will close at 23:59:59.99 Central on the day PGI announces the May mechpack. This is a "soft" date, potentially subject to small extensions. The intent is to finish community voting in time for winners to qualify for the May mech pack's early adopter rewards.
Due to scheduling constraints on my end, the deadline has been extended to the end of May 7th.

Begin!

*Bricks compatible with Legos are fine.
**If you really want to submit some other kind of Battletech unit, like an aerofighter, I will allow it.
***Technically two contests I guess.
****Three rounds but four asterisks.

Here's my Lego Hunchback, been collecting dust in my college dorm next to a 3D printed, unpainted Raven and most of a fully articulated 3D printed Annihilator (missing a single shoulder).

All the above rules apply to digital entries, so find some way of including your MWO name and the current date in the screenshot. Make text out of bricks or something.

And i present you a design of my own : The Emerald Kite !

It is a light mech designed by Clan Jade Falcon, it weights 35 tons and is equipped with an ATM 9, a SSRM6 a clan active probe, an XL250 and a lot of Jump Jets !

It's a recon and harrassing omnimech that can engage at close and long range with the two missiles launchers. Those are torso mounted.

I have design it on LDD this afternoon and have put my name and the date on the first picture in order to make my entry valid. I have paint it with the standard Jade Falcon pattern (Green and Yellow). I have made it in position while it jumps.

I hope you loved it !

For the LDD pictures I think it would be easier for people to just use an image editor program to insert text rather than building their name in huge block letters bigger than the mech itself.

I don't think the risk of stealing someone else's work is any higher with this method since you could technically just download somebody else's LDD file from the LDD gallery and modify it to have your name in it.

Computers being what they are, there is no completely satisfactory option for digital entries, which is one of the reasons I did not allow them in previous rounds. Having the text in LDD at least puts the bar a little higher for would-be cheaters vs. "Google image->add text in Paint."

Alright, so, here it goes.
My submission. Done in that Studio thing.

I was planning on doing the Scorpion (because obviously, but i realized that i could never improve upon the LEGO scorpion in Brick Commander and I didn't want to compare myself to it), so i did the Helepolis instead.

I wasn't able to properly export them as renders because the program crashed every time i tried... So i just screencap'ed them Posted Image

Yes. I do not have an exhaustive knowledge of all the programs out there, hence the "etc" in the rules.

Shameless visibility bump for people who might be holiday travelling back to their Lego collections.

Because knee hardpoints are lostech, and it really would not be a Viking without them.

Those would just get moved to the corresponding side torso. See the Cicada 3C and Mist Lynx G as examples in-game of this happening. Heck, the MLX-G even got a left leg laser moved to the right torso (since the LT on the MLX is packed full).
