Took just 2 games to get 300 MC - this is the most grind-free MC reward I've ever seen in an event. Is this something new or have the vets seen something similar before?
In any case, thank you PGI!

MC give outs have been becoming more frequent and easier for a while.

Maybe it's a case of spreading some goodwill prior to the launch of MW5.

It's the only tactics they have left.... I didn't even participate in this event and I only play for MC at events...
Other events in other games were more compelling,

Holiday bonus event gave away 1250 MC to everyone who played one match in December 27th, plus two new hero mechs. Can't beat that. https://mwomercs.com/events/73

Only started playing again in the last month so wasn't even aware of the December event. Looks like I picked the wrong time to take a break from the game!

Enjoy the mc. Stock pile it for a new mech later. It's best to wait till the 40-50% off heroes sales. Many people stock pile for months for the sale then jusy buy as many as they can. The 30% cbill bonus stacks over time so it's the better deal over cosmetic fluff but then again I've spent mc on war horns because I liked how they sounded. Depends on how you like to spend the mc or are space rich.

Lemme see...
Easy-to-get reward for new players - Check
Easy-to-get rewards for the whales who fund this game - Check
New and novel cockpit items (i.e. Corgis), which are also easy-to-get - Check
All the other stuff that is fairly easy-to-get - Check
Assault mechs FINALLY (at least for the duration of the event
), getting proper cover from their team - Check
All in all I'd say it's a pretty good event.
Good hunting,
CFC Conky

I almost want to agree with this, but I can't. From my experience, PGI has been very, very generous for quite some time with the player base and the events they run. I was talking to my buddy today, and after a couple of years, having spent only $7.95 on the game, he has 30 Mechs [including some heroes], multiple colours, decals and camouflage patterns... and 108 million C-Bills sitting in the bank.
Not a bad haul for a F2P game and $7.95. Compelling or not, you get rewarded for your time in this game.
