Hi!

I'm new to the game and I've been having it crash at random intervals. I've been unable to get a screenshot of the exact message but it says DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED.

My card is a GTX 780ti which is admittedly elderly, but is running the latest drivers and the game is launching through steam. To my knowledge, there isn't anything wrong with the card itself.

Any experiences or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm feeling a little lost and weary of triggering the penalization system for crashing.

This is a troublesome error that is not confined to this game or specific hardware. It is a DirectX error code that indicates a crashing of the driver, and there can be many reasons for it.

Uninstall the current driver and install an older driver. The most recent Nvidia driver players have reported crashes.

Being a ti, it is overclocked slightly from base specs. Afterburner and underclock the card.

Set Windows power settings to High performance in the Power Options in Control Panel.

Also, beside High performance, click on Change plan settings, Change advanced power settings, in PCI Express and Link State Power Management change the Setting to Off.

Hiya, Grosh... You might want to clear the dust off of your computer components, even if your only choice is to blast it off with an Air Can, and then try MWO again. This error can also be caused by the Graphics Card getting way too hot. B)
