If it's any consolation, the camo prize is rather iffy - certainly not something I'd normally choose to buy (though it does somehow suit the urbie). And the warhorn is slightly embarassing every time it goes off (someone said it sounded like a 70s track - I think it sounds like it was rejected from Riverdance).

Just a tip for tartan camo: make the first color slot a brighter color and the second & third black/a much darker color. It'll highlight a few sections and fill most of the rest with a grid of thin lines. Here's an example with black and white for emphasis:

That does look pretty good - the grid looks quite futuristic, which suits that mech.
On my urbie, I've basically muted the tartan by using muddier colours (but it's still there), going for a dirtier, more low-tech look (suits the urbie imo):

That's a nice effect as well, looks more like a blocky camo pattern than tartan with the subdued earth tones and lack of large flat planes of armor.

I missed it by five games but I nearly got the mc for a new mech I want. i'll take the mc over camo any time. Just need another qp event for the last 300 mc.

Here's what happened..

My GF bought me the Blood Asp standard pack.. so I got 25 extra loot bags from it.. I played the whole event, and got to 100 loot bags (counting those 25), at witch point I got the tartan cammo.. and then got to 100 loot bags on my secondary account too..

But my primary didn't do 100 drops for the warhorn, when not counting the 25 bonus ones.. and I figured this out 2 hours before the event ended..

So I got into a mad scramble and rapid-dropped for the remaining 25 drops.. and ended up doing only 99 out of the needed 100.. after maximum effort.. fell just an inch short..

Feels bad man..

Luckily the warhorn sound is not something great to me.. but still.. to come so close and not get it.. kinda sucky..
