Hey there! Is it planned to implement multi gpu support into mwo? Got 2 graphic cards running in my pc in win10 and MWO seems to use only one of them.

best Regards,

elfo.

Don't count on it. MWO is based on a heavily modified Cryengine 3.5. Generation 3 of the Cryengine was announced in 2009 and was followed by a Mid-Step with Generation 3.6 (Mid 2013), and Cryengine 4 aka Cryengine V (Early 2016). Cryengine only started with Multi GPU Support with Version 5.4 on DX12 in early 2017.

Be easier to just ask them to upgrade to UE4.

That would rather be MWO 2 than MWO on a new game engine. Switching game engines underneath a game is basically rewriting the whole game pretty much from scratch. Sometimes it's even a pain to go with updates to the game engine. PGI seems to have seen the writing on the wall and went for the UE for MW5. I reckon when that bird flies, they'll build MWO2 on UE. At least I wish the'd do that. Of course whilst keeping all MWO assets transfereable to MWO2. Heck, I'd even pay them an aedequate amount of money so I could keep my MWO stuff in MWO2.

There were some relatively old topics regarding SLI support. As far as I remember, some people even managed to get it working. Not sure about crossfire though.

hi out there, im very pleased about the responses. My Crysis 1 game uses both of my GPUs(ASUS EAH5850 - ATI RADEON 5850). Old but GOld ;) and certainly some more would be very satisfied too if their mulit GPU System would get better performance than just heating the one only used graphiccard more(~23%) as in single use GPU configuration. And it works with an older cry enginge. im not used to both engines and APIs(*sorry dont know, where to set here the aphostroph,i m german and my english needs to be developed). I searched the forum, perhaps i didn't get the right matching words. Here, I found nothing relevant about that topic. So i posted some kinda general question in hope to attract some persons gifted with related knowledge.MWO uses an newer version of CryEnginge as Crysis 1 does, more optimized to be not so hardware exhausting. So what left about the ability to use multi GPUs*? Engine change means indeed completely porting that code to the new one. so you have to check compabilities independences, restrictions and at least reconcepting, updating, rewriting, auditing and pen-testiing the whole code. Had some semesters in computer science, thats not trivial dudes or fast to archieve ;). Where i know Crysis uses both GPUs*? Asus GPU TWEAK 2 shows i.e. GPU and Memory usage of each graphic card.

best regards
