Not bad hitreg. Clan SRMs have spread just that bad. :P

Also, couldn't fit another launcher or 5 on your ARW? Posted Image

Most of your missiles are hitting the already destroyed left torso so you're only getting half damage towards the core.

Even if I was getting half damage, 16 damage per salvo should've killed it long ago. 16x3= 48 damage. more than enough to kill it if it WAS transferring damage to the CT.

5 SRMs triggers ghost heat. 4 SRMs do not.

SRM2 are not in the same heat penalty group as SRM4. I run 4x4 and 2x4, and have an AMS and a NARC...

The health percentage on the madcat disagrees.

1% on the half miss 1st volley but you can see the center darken
5% on the on the second volley where the left torso took half of the blast and still the center darkens
3% on the third and forth.

Roughly 3.67% average damage on the last three so he was averaging 26 damage on an estimated 700 hp mech.

The roughneck suffered 3% health deduction but some of the missiles hit the invisible wall on the right.

1st alpha I'd say 4 missiles hit to destroyed sidetorso, so 8 damage -60% damage transfer penalty (according to https://mwomercs.com...amage-transfer/)
2nd alpha Looks to me that pretty much all of those actually hit ST not CT
Rest of the shots against MKII should have killed it IMO

SRM hitreg has been bad lately, we had inhouse dueling evening last Thursday and full alphas of 6xASRM6 just disappeared sometimes.

PS. I would use 8-9xSRM2 or 4xASRM6 in that mech, cSRM4 without artemis is horrible.

In my experience Hitreg depends strongly on the type of weapon system. Some have no issues at all and some like SRMs seem to lack hit registration from time to time no matter the ping.

I hate it when i am in a brawler and i am 100% sure the other mech will go down the next volley, all enemy torsos are cherry red, my heat is already unbearable, the enemy mech still got the better firepower but on cooldown, my armor is done, other enemys are about to show up, all depends on this one shot, a perfect hit......and the 4xASRM6 volley does next to nothing except leading the way for the return fire that seals my fate.

I fail to see the point of your post...

SRM boats are decent, they can put their missiles into a specific mech part to finish it off. LRMs cannot be targeted into a crit component and it takes way more volleys of LRM damage to do the same thing a direct fire weapon can do.

On a side note, you can easily add 4 more SRM2s to that build without sacrificing much of anything. The Arctic Wolf with only 4 SRM4 is pretty lacking in firepower. I wouldn't have expected those volleys to have killed the rear CT even if they 100% registered on the CT.

Except that SRM boats rely on other mechs to get in close, just like LRM boats rely on other mechs to get locks.

The OP was blaming everyone else for the same fault he was committing - relying on others to support a situational build

I don't think it's solely hitreg, more like SRM spread. It's brutal, plain and simple. Hitting target where you want it with SRMs requires lots of luck. Hitreg only adds injury to the case with projectile travel time, packet loss and other usual stuff happening between players in online environment. I honestly don't get why some players are so fond of SRMs. That's the weapon where you point it towards side/component and pray it hits it... so hard, that it kills it outright. Every time it doesn't, you waste ammo, time, heat and can easily eat back fatal amount of damage from more reliable weapon systems. Sure, sometimes you can 1-2 hit core or kill vital component, but that's not exactly very consistent.

Karma for ignoring the light that was coring the Fk out of his team mates back and allowing him to simply die while he did nothing to help.

That's really odd config. We are talking about battlemech with 9 missile hardpoints, 40 tons with full customization. And you've only used 4 of them. You could use the omnimech versions of the mech for the same with fixed engine and ECM. Sure I can see you've made a novelty of really fast SRM boat.

Also I personally prefer having weapons in arms when it's an option, like with ACW-1, because you can aim faster and shoot more accurate.

Notice how narrow the CT is from behind, many other assults are a lot wider. No way you could hit with all missiles to such narrow stripe.Posted Image

Well as I reallized you shoot at your target that get hit from the front (multiple rounds)
The server simple had a hard time to remember all those shots - wasn't there 23 cals per shot?
The MCIIC simple got hit by more than hundred rounds in a very quick succession (not to mention that Pirannah - those MachineGun Douchbacks simple eat 90% of the ServerTime with their no-skill builds)

So you want't good registration - use Laser and hope that PGI nerfs MachineGuns and multi round ballistics and missiles.

(nothing new - in Closed Beta - you had two weapons with adequate registration - this was the Laser and the Gauss)
