Hey guys, I recently got my roommate into MWO, and he absolutely loves it. We've been two-manning our own unit as Mercs, but he wants to play FP more, and we only pick up rough games and it's a slowboat to progress. We've been kicking around the idea of joining a larger unit/loyalist faction. Any idea which is the most populated and FP active Loyalist faction? Well, the most that's not Davion?
Also, is there a way to see these things in game or via the website?

2nd of all, lol. (Points at the walking hair product commercial above.)

On a more serious note, you might want to indicate where you are located and when you can play, as this will have a huge impact.

You might want to check out A41 on the Comstar TS ( na1.mech-connect.net , no password required). They are a nice bunch, open to anybody who is not a total knob and what's more, they have daily(*) FP drops in the evenings, European time.

Common decency dictates that you should ask them what mechs to bring, however, as you would with any other group that you intend to play with.

(*) unless our resident PGI Overlord should decide that the one bukkit of FP is now exclusively reserved for Clan this-and-that, today.

Could come play with g-nx, same ts, comstar na1.mech-connect.net, were in channels below a41 and we do fw daily, just during NA afternoons-evenings. Same rules as roland mentioned above, well let you know what were bringing, and you can just try and match it as best you can with what you have.

If your looking for an active faction instead of a merc unit, its davion or no faction, all the others are dead or just about dead to the best of my knowledge, though id be happily proven wrong. Frr maybe, on a good day, might be able to cobble together a few heads shy of a 12 man. Marik is supposedly active, but everytime ive been in their ts, theyre doing qps.

Guys, guys he was asking for loyalists NON Davion units jeez. :P

Most active unit within the FWLM (house Marik) would prolly be my unit Midgard Inc.
We are EU/NA based but activity kicks in on 2200 hours GMT.
We are not at a point yet where we can fill a 12 man but we just dig up other folks within the FWLM teamspeak which you can visit at: Housemarik.enjinvoice.com .
But if your interested in my unit and want to know more go here for all the info: https://mwomercs.com...86-midgard-inc/

Don't tie yourself to a unit, just check out the comstar teamspeak channels and try dropping with everyone that lets you to see who you fit in best with. Be open minded, but also feel free to leave if you feel a group isn't right.

^ best advice on here.

Unfortunately being a Loyalist doesn't mean much anymore, so just choose a Faction of choice and then follow the others advice as if you are Inner Sphere you can drop with any other House. Bounce around the various TS and be friendly and follow any drop callers and pretty soon you'll have invited whenever you log on. Then if you find you have a particular affinity for any one group, then you can look at tieing yourself down to that unit. This way you won't have to keep redoing the Probation period if you find you aren't a good fit for your first choice.

Personally I'd recommend CBR1 as they have franchises all over the Inner Sphere, A 41 (their Merc branch if Davion is a no go) or COMA if you play odd hours. All real friendly folks and like a more organised approach without being too rigid.

I second this advice. I have dropped with CBR and A 41 lately and they are active and good guys. And there isn't a lot of benefit from being a Loyalist right now. Your time zone obviously does affect which units are active when you will be dropping
