PGI, can we PLEASE lower the volume of the Arctic Wolf's engine buzz?

It's probably the loudest mech in the game to have buzzing in the background, and it's so loud it makes it difficult to hear VOIP or TS.

Most other mechs are ok, but Arctic Wolf is just outright too loud..

Also, while you're at it, can you turn up the sound of the "radio warhorns"?

You can barely hear them..

I find Commando's engine noise to be more annoying.

^ this.

while I don't care about the radio-warhorns altogether, you can really barely hear them - and that kinda bugs me.
soundlevel between all warhorn varies too much anyway. pls adjust that or better yet, give em all the same level and us a bar so we can adjust it to our liking.
would be great if we could adjust more individual soundlevels by hand, anyway Posted Image

that, and UrbieIIC. now pls! k'thx. Posted Image

this is what happens when you contract out all the specialty jobs. a room full of "devs" and not one knows how to use audacity to tweak a sound file.

No mention of the weeping Griffin? On a side note as a man who is currently grinding Artic Wolves I don't find the noise that loud.

I was thinking you meant fixing bad weapon sounds, mainly the IS LBs.

While we're on the topic, we need to get the RAC ghost spin noise fixed. I sent in a support ticket, they said they're aware, but that was like two or more patches ago. It's a slight annoyance in QP to have your RACs spinning while you spectate in the background; Its a whole different story in FP. 4 drops of "clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank" for 30 minutes is mind numbingly painful in my headphones, I cannot hear comms, and my battlefield awareness sinks. Hell, it's so loud music can't cover it up.

It needs a fix.

I don't know if you're using speakers or headphones.. I use 5:1 speakers, and I usually run them at about half way of max loudness..

When I'm in an Arctic Wolf (and ONLY int hat mech), my Fiancee begs me to turn it down from the other side of the apartment.. I'm pretty sure it can make a chicken's head explode or something..

As far as RAC spin-up goes.. yeah.. there's a bug where the sound can be heard after the RAC-bearing mech is long dead or gone.. and it just stays with you until you exit the game.. to desktop sometimes.. Annoying A.F.

This very post makes me wanna buy Arctic Wolf just for that now. All these sounds of engine buzzing, turning/twisting, arm moving and etc, giving me small doses of nerdgasm. Not to mention sounds of some weapon systems firing. I really appreciate such attention to detail with unique sounds like that.

Although Warhorns... man, I'd pay to have an option to disable them for good. Brutally annoying.

If you're into that kinda thing.. try playing a mech with lots of ballistics, and playing on 5:1 speakers turned way up..

I played like that in my old apartment, and my floor would vibrate with every mech's step.. and an AC20 sounded like a tank was firing 5 feet away from me..

But trust me, that Arctic Wolf's buzz would make your ears bleed real fast :P
