And as for drinking, that would seem to explain why people on my team seem to have a penchant for running into my mech within the first 90 seconds of the match. I mean, come on.

Unfortunately it's impossible now, cuz since some moment, Alpine isn't the only map, that should be avoided, if you don't want to be lurmstomped - it's also Polar, Forest, City and even Frozen and Plexus. It's too many of them and they're literally forced into rotation, so it's really hard to avoid them via saving multiplier.

Just stop playing, if you see 2-3 stomps in a row, as it happened with me yesterday.

I save my multiplier specifically for Polar Highlands Escort, Alpine Peaks Skirmish, and Terra Therma Conquest. Loads of fun for the whole team!

I love doing that, it's the best part of the game really but most of the time I drop only for 2-5 games at most, and I don't really feel like taking the time of getting together a group for that every time. :/

Also half of my playtime is spent in the mechlab and with the new skilltrees, so it would also make everyone else wait, all in all it just doesn't go well together with time efficiency if you dedicate only a couple of hours per week for the game.

But I do miss the long social nights I had in the past, with friends not just units, those were the best times even tough the game is better and there's more interesting things to do now, I just can't get my old buddies back or force myself to spend a whole day/night on comms every time I want to just have a quick dib in the mechlab and give a build I was thinking about during the day a quick spin, which is mostly what I do these days. Organise, paint, decal and get a quick hard-on glazing over my robot collection, tweak and tune, make meme builds, have a few good games and move on for the day.

It's kind of like looking at boobs. It feels nice to look at them, and then take them for a quick joyride, but after around 30 minutes of playing with them you have enough and you're done for the day, but it's interesting to do it tomorrow again.

This always upset me. Here I am, only voting for Bog and Terra therma, and then Alpine Escort pops up, and I have to squander my multiplier on Grim ****ing Plexus just to save 23 people from themselves. Because Alpine Escort always wins unless someone stands up to the stupidity and drops their multiplier on it.

Map voting is so dumb. Democracy was a mistake.

I preffer saving my x23 map voter for terra therma and alpine, my x13 mode multipliyer for escort/incursion because those are my favorite modes/maps
