If we're going to change the visible cockpit for every mech just to implement Small Cockpits, then what I REALLY want implemented is visible damage from head hits.

Which is to say, if you take a head hit in combat, then there should be a visible change to the cockpit glass that you're looking through.

Yellow damage - small cracks in the glass here and there.

Red Damage - LARGE cracks that are highly visible in the cockpit glass.

Head armor destroyed - The glass is obviously gone except for a few small fragments here and there. And depending on environment, you can hear the local weather now.

Head internal structure damaged - Same deal, only now your instruments and stuff are visibly worse for wear.
