All lights and mediums in division 7, no lights in division 1. No IS mediums in div 1 either. Seems to me like lights are OP and need to be nerfed Posted Image

Also could be because it would be far too rock-paper-scissor-like with Lights in Div 1. Technically even some of the worst Lights in the game end up countering the Div 1 assaults.

Also 8v8/12v12 balance isn't like 1v1/2v2 balance. Mechs amazing at 1v1 can be terrible at 12v12 and vice versa.

Yeah, a lot of the stuff in lowest tiers aren't bad 'mechs, they're 'mechs that only really work in conjunction with a team to distract enemy fire. BJ-1 and BJ-3 are prime examples, they can perform quite well in 12v12 or even 8v8 (assuming your team doesn't crumple like wet tissue paper), but they can't put out high burst damage and don't have much armor.

Assaults are heavily popped in T1 mostly because they're tanky enough that even a spud can live long enough to kill a light if there aren't any other doritos to distract them. I mean also because given equal skill it's extremely difficult for a 'mechwarrior in a light or medium to kill a heavy or assault, but nobody ever seems to care about objective balance, just peak performance in QP.
