It's back! It's been 9 months since I last did this. You can see last year's detailed results here. Since then we have had Civil War tech enter the game, plus a lot of time for the Skill Tree and weapon balance adjustments to settle in. I'd like to get a run of the survey out before people get too distracted by Solaris mech balance. So keep your thoughts to 8v8 and larger contexts please. =]

Interesting that the spread of opinions between top and bottom scoring players seems less than last time.

This is some great science, and the variance in the box charts is very interesting - but for me, the most intriguing bit was the differences in match scores. There is a staggering difference between the top and bottom performers.

Methinks there needs to be another quirkening pass after Solaris drops.

Now, before Solaris7 starts, how about doing a survey like this to get everyone to rank all the Mechs in 1v1 and 2v2. Then in six months do it again to see how much it has changed.

I think we will see a huge difference between the overall ranking versus the 1v1-2v2 ranks of a lot of Mechs, especially after a season or two of Solaris. I would expect that the comps would have a better preseason feel of what is going to work is Solaris and that there would be a bigger spread between them and the casuals than shows up in the overall rankings.

It would be an interesting study.
