For Solaris?
Why should I?
The mode will be about a few chassis with super high short time dps builds. Not going to be very exciting after a while,

so don't overhype it you would just be disappointed in the end.

This is going to be interesting: will there be enough players that really don't care about anything else other than making stompy robot pieces?

I suspect so, unfortunately.... In that case, the MWO you'all know is gone and will not be back anytime soon.... And, anytime soon, could be years..... But, Solaris will make money and MW5 is the replacement for what we know....

For HBS Battletech game ? If so then yes i share your excitement. As others have mentioned Solaris will fade quickly once people realized what you have to do to win 1vs1's. Initially they are really fun but the cheese factor gets old quick. They are fun in the private lobby where you can setup your own gentlemen agreements. This system will allow for a lot of exploiting.

I agree. Seriously this isn't too much different that FP Scouting mode. There will be 1-2 chassis/variants that dominate in 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 and that will be it. Also just like in the Livestream, these matches are going to be very short, ultimate boring in the long run and after the new wears off, Solaris will be a ghost town.

The movie that will finally answer the question: "Why are all these seperate movies being presented as one story again?"

Edited: removed some typos

Don't get to hyped up its basically just a remake of MechCommander2 from like 15 years ago. I played the campaign for like 20+ hours and beat it the first time after that is got boring as heck.

The only way HBS can keep the new Btech fresh and relevant is offer new Campaign downloads every month to keep $USD coming in and supporting the game.

MechCommander video page link same stuff,

Mech Commander is a different game, cant even compare.
In Battletech, you can just relaX and enjoy a big ol' cup of balc coffee while playing.
In MC you can not due to it being an RTS.

Please, explain ti because many of us played MC2 and hated it so we're avoiding HBS BT...

Where are they in theory different? I've never played BT as a board game???

Well the Battletech game is turn-based. That allows for strategy, thinking, storming off and coming back with a new idea. Also the campaign is set up to let you diverge from the main story to take other missions, so you can control the pace with which it gets harder. The graphics are beautiful using the same models as this game, if you like that.

I think it will show that there are three types of players, those that are reliant on meat shields to do well, the YOLO-soloist who should be fine, and those that supersede the two.

MechCommander is a real time strategy - thinking on your feet, snap decisions. Like Command & Conquer or Total Annihilation.

HBS BattleTech is a turn based strategy - planning ahead, carefully weighing your options. Like Blood Bowl or X-Com.

Mechcommander 1 was a great game, Mechcommander 2 was Lurmageddon 1 and BT brings TBS back to its rightful glory where you can enjoy every little detail without having to rush form decison to decison never having the time savour the delicious gameplay to the fullest finest flavour...RTS is Fast Food and TBS is Cuisine.

No offense meant, i like both but at the right time and to long the one was not served.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring 1vs1

No clue why someone should be hyped by such a boooooooooooring thing.
Mwo has so much to offer instead of a mere 1vs1.
