This I attribute to all the online features that need to load and update, as well as the players inventory that needs to be loaded every time you exit a match.
PGI even acknowledged that load times might increase again when Solaris goes live (even more ladders and inventory to keep track of).

As MechWarrior Online continues to grow with the additions of the Solaris feature and the new Bolt-On items, we are aware that you may experience some longer load times into the Home lobby.
Seeing NGNG about Solaris update this occurred to me once again.
I wondered if Sean was having shorter load times, and lo and behold, I could've gone and get a coffee in the time the load circle turned and turned and turned (and then froze for a moment).
In my mind there could be 3 possible solutions, that in theory could even be combined, but every one of them would make a difference on its own.
1) Loading only when something changed
- on the first log in the inventor would be loaded like always
- have the inventory load only when something major changed like mech loadouts and the inventory besides MC, C-Bills and XP (which would be loaded aside from the rest of the inventory).
-further splitting the stuff that needs to load would be appreciated, though obviously more work, like only mech load-outs if something changed, but not ladders.
- or an option to not load a ladder when exiting a match, and only when I actually want to look at it.
2)
- start to load everything at the end of rounds screen
- basically the game could start to load all it needs (or at least some) once the end of rounds screen is appearing, before the player even clicks on the exit button.
3)
- have a simple button on the end of rounds screen, like next to the exit button
-I`m sure players don't mind dropping in the same mech a few times, having this function would speed up the process by obviously not returning into the mechlab at all
- in group play the group leader would have this option only obviously
