Yes. It would appear that the rebranding has occurred.

The game has been rebranded and relaunched.

"MWO Solaris 7! Now with new, gaudy colors, no proofreading of patch notes, and all-new game modes that split the minimally viable player population into 14 new buckets, so more tears can be gathered!

MWO Solaris 7! Boldly shooting ourselves where we have shot before! Tell your friends! Try it now!"

I don't get the whole division thing.
I mean I get there are 7 of them... but do you start at division 1 and work you way up?

Nah, it's just a ranking system for different mechs, giving more mechs a chance to shine and stand on relatively fair footing. You can jump back and forth between Division 1 and Division 7 to your heart's content. They have separate leader boards for each division, so if you think you're crushing it in Division 2 you could give Division 6 a try.

Yea, they were already having problems with the matchmaker going absolutely nuts this last weekend... I don't see this as helping any.

Most of the Omnimechs are like that, for self evident reasons.

Because Omnimechs are capable of mostly building identical builds on every variant, every variant of an omni mech can mount the most meta and best 1v1 build. In some cases some CTs may have extra hardpoints (like the timby) buuuut one extra enegry harpdoint is not going to push it from div 2 to div 1.

I'm sticking with Division zero.

As in ZERO interest.

Oh hey! Maybe now they will be less afraid to make changes to the equipment that does not match TT, so that they can make some kit suck less....

Considering the care they put into making PGI originals TT legal, I doubt that.

True, sadly.

Then again, they could buff things like standard engines and ISFF....

Then again I'd like to see them either reduce the size of some equipment or figure out how to do crit splitting... Perhaps hard points specific equipment could help? I mean hell HBS (and Jordan Wiseman) signed off on messing with mech internal crit space after all... I'll be able to build all kinds of non TT legal mechs in HBS battletech by virtue of having 4 free crits in the center!

I was shocked and taken aback by the change
I mean I heard from one player that they where going to change the name of the game to MW Solaris 7
but I thought he was joking

I saw nothing official
not against it in anyway its there game but they need to promote some stuff and
you would think they would make a big deal about the revision
like going from MW3 to MW4 maybe post a big announcement
oh well crazy

I did not realize that MWO was going to use Solaris as there flagship and main product. I can only speak for myself but without my unit and playing with them i would have been gone after 2 months. Call me a pessimist but if the game is putting all there eggs in the 1vs1 basket we are doomed in the long run.

I think they're trying to distinguish MWO as where you go for your PVP. With MW5 coming out. They're clearly trying to play up the distinction between the two.

Why do you say that?
in 1v1 you can jump in and play and not worry about the MM.
they should have done this a long time ago.
