I ve been noticing that LB ac10 really, really outshine AC 10 in S7.

IS:
Less heat, better damage on structure, lighter, takes less space.

Clan:
Same heat, single shot, better damage on structure, better (10%)DPS compared to C-AC10 (C-AC10 has in fact longer cooldown due to an added 0.22s delay for three shot burst).

The one advantage that AC10 could have is better accuracy. In fact this advantage is negligeble because the biggest source of inaccuracy isnt weapon dispersion but the fact that you need to predict lead and an uncertainity in enemy movement. Both LB and AC10 have pretty much the same or at least very comparable real damage spread at 300-400m and against a maneuvering opponent.

i can leverage ac10s quite effectively. they are also responsible for my best fp killing streak ever (2 ac-10s in a bushie, 7 consecutive kills).

No. They pair really well with PPC types on alpha-n-twist builds.

2AC10 2SNPPC one shots Piranhas through the CT at 250 meters. I use it on my Warhammer.

AC10 and LBX10 they both have their uses. Solaris is the only mode where I take LBX opponents seriously.

AC10s have better damage at range whereas LBX spreads out the farther away you go. AC10 is a medium range weapon, LBX is a short range weapon. At least with IS. I've always liked dual AC10s in something like a Catapult or Jagermech.

The only weapon that I even consider to obsolete the AC/10 for the IS is the new UAC/10, but even then if I'm doing a snap shot build the AC/10 is still better. LB/s lack a key ability from TT to make them useful to me here... it wouldn't be so bad if they were properly modeled with canister shot rather than buck shot.

Kodiak? Well it has reduced DPS value when compared to a lb10.

CAC do ~4.05 dps and lb10 do ~4.44 plus a bonus damage on structure.

The AC/10 has always had the issue that it just doesn't do enough to justify the 12 ton investment. It's stuck in a weird position where it tries to be both brawly and pokey at the same time but doesn't do either one of them nearly as well as other choices available.
