But i'm the same guy who likes quadruped mechs, so i guess you shouldn't listen to my opinions when it comes to aesthetics.

The issue isn't the looks, it is the blatant and potentially massive nerf the Banshee got as a result of them moving like 50% of the Banshee's high mounted energy hardpoints to waste level. Hell I will even go as far as say that I like the looks better but in a game where all your doing is looking out the cockpit and can't even see your mech, performance is much more important over some minor improvement in looks.
I think what really torques me off the most is that it isn't even like they had move the hard points down to the waist level as there is plenty of unused real estate up higher on the mech. They could have easily keep all the mounts up at nearly the same height as they were before AND transition to the new geometry. It is like the person who modeled the new Banshee doesn't even play the game or worse, is completely clueless about how the game works so never once considered how big a nerf moving the hard points down to the waist level is for a mech. I mean I can understand working on a game and not playing it but if you work on the game you should at least have an understanding of what effects your changes will have on the game but that doesn't appear the case here. Well I guess that is unless someone at PGI thought that the Banshee needed a nerf and decided to try to sneak one in under the guise of a geometry update.

Absolute unacceptable. I was riding a mild high of trying Solaris for the funs. Now I'm utterly disappointed that one of my favorite mech Chassis has been castrated for the sake of questionable visual appeal.

Well they do mention the Banshee getting a visual weaponry update. But they don't mention anything about the hard point layouts being changed or moved. So it does make you wonder if anyone outside of the art department was clued in on it.

The Banshee was one of my favorites. Because it was old, looked bland, and didn't get much attention on the battlefield. Or at least that was my experience. Got a few "Ace of Spades" with it because nobody cared about the old, boring Banshee. Everybody was always shooting at the 'Mech of the Month' and not me.
So, thanks again PGI. There's times when I fell weak and think about coming back (maybe even cracking open my whale wallet again for a new mech I really like.) But then you do stupid, incompetent things like this and you remind me why I quit. Then I fell much better about staying away and not giving you any more of my money.

Have you seen what happens to any Rifleman with an AC/10? Have you seen what happens to the RFL-5D when you put an HPPC in the arm first and then put a laser on it?
I question whether the people building the lego 'Mechs have eyes, sometimes.

Yeah, that's always something that bugged me. Was there a reason they couldn't do that? I mean it would look really cool. Especially if you put a flamer in there! Spit hot fire!
