I'd introduce something called the "Super Duper Fixer Upper".
It'd be Clan tech. Energy weapon that generates 5.5 heat and deals -15 damage. The effective range on it is a mere 100 meters.
It fires like a flamer, only it heals the mech it hits. It basically regrows armor.
It would be a total game changer.
