This is really annoying.
I'm not buying and re-skilling a another variant just for solaris, we did that. its understood that I know how to run that chassis.(ie "Mastery")

If i want to go back and forth between QP and Solaris, I should not have to go into the mech lab to manually re-do the mech. I should be able to click a drop down for different loadouts.

Not to mention...after a while...i freaking forget how I built the mech and can end up rebuilding it wrong.

Hello? Fundamentals of User Experience?

More than just qp and solaris too. Also have both FP modes and comp.

It's been needed since the game launched, but I felt it pretty bad today. Went to do some FP with old friends and quickly realized a majority of my FP mechs were all refit for Solaris and it was a pain trying to shove all the equipment, skills, and consumables back into place without making everyone wait an hour.

I ended up just mashing together a deck and refitting them one at a time after we finished games so I wasn't holding it up. I too refuse to buy multiple mechs of the same type just so I don't have to refit them, it's becoming incredibly annoying.

PGI probably wont implement it--most likely outside of their expertise.

Depends on how much hard drive space they have allocated per player. Or per mech owned by each player. Sure, each config might not take up space by itself, but when you have tens of thousands of players each one owning possibly hundreds of individual mechs each, all those configs put together could eat up quite a bit of memory and may require upgrading the hardware which costs money.

The File can also be saved on the User computer no need to be server depending.
say you have Save/Load file which stip the mech build up the mech you made walla done. no magic no server saving just 101 computer skills requested.

Saved loadouts + saved skill tree choices would be great, but I don't expect this to ever happen because it lowers already low chance of people buying multiple copies of the same mech variant. Maybe PGI should do it like they did dropdecks: two saved loadouts for free, then pay if you want to unlock more slots.

It could be as simple as a user-side config file that operates as a save-state for each mech chassis. It wouldn't even be that long of a code, ultimately , if indexed.

Just lazy game design with a focus on financial viability, instead of superior user experience.

Oh right. Like how Weapon Groups are now.
